Young Adult Contemporary Romances:
1) The Chapel Wars by Lindsey Leavitt - I loved Going Vintage, and I’m hoping this book, which has the most adorable premise, will be just as fun to read.
2) Open Road Summer by Emery Lord - I’ve owned this book for almost a year now, yet still haven’t read it. What’s wrong with me? Everything I’ve read about it sounds right up my alley.
3) Wish You Were Italian by Kristen Rae - I’ve actually had this one checked out for ages, but just keep putting it off. I’m afraid that it won’t live up to the great things I’ve heard about it. Plus, I’m positive it will make me want to go back to Italy, a trip that isn’t in the cards this year.
4) The Art of Lainey by Paula Stokes - This keeps showing up on all of my lists. That’s because everyone raved about it last year, so I bought it (because my library still hadn’t, at that point), then never read it. I still want to read it, I swear! I just haven’t got around to it yet.
5) On the Fence by Kasie West - I also really want to read her new book (about fake boyfriends!) that comes out later this spring, but I’ve decided I need to read this one first. It sounds equally fun!
New Adult Romances:
1) Boomerang by Noelle August - I checked this one out after reading some great reviews, but it’s just been sitting on my stack of library books ever since. It’s time to remedy that situation.
2) Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover - I read Maybe Someday last year and loved it soooo much. (The soundtrack that goes along with it is amazing, by the way.) Despite that, I still haven’t read anything else by Hoover. I’m almost afraid they won’t be as fantastic as Maybe Someday? It’s time to find out!
3) Stage Dive novels by Kylie Scott - I read the first book in this series, Lick, last year and it was so good! I actually bought the second book, Play, immediately after, but then got distracted with other things. I think it’s time to pick it back up, especially since a friend just told me the third book, Lead, might be the best in the series.
4) Between the Lines by Tammara Webber - Webber’s book Easy, recommended by a friend, was my first introduction to the New Adult genre. It was probably one of the best ways to start the genre, as it was smart, current and well-written. I still haven’t read the sequel, Breakable, but at this point, I’m almost more interested in Between the Lines, the first book in another series she wrote.
5) On Dublin Street by Samantha Young - This is another book that was recommended to me by a friend. (I have one friend who reads a lot of New Adult, then recommends the ones she thinks I would like best. So far, she hasn’t been wrong.) It’s set in Scotland!
